Utility Week Live 2020
19 May 2020
NEC Birmingham, 19-20 May
We are very pleased to be exhibiting once more at Utility Week Live, taking a central position in the Streetworks Village.
Moving from a focus on transition to imagining the end game, the headline theme for Utility Week Live 2020 is 'The Utility of the Future'.
On stand E48, we will be demonstrating the one.network platform, already widely used by streetworks professionals for planning, coordinating and communciating works, with services that have proven to improve efficiency, decrease costs and deliver substantial operational savings and regulatory incentives.
We will be showcasing in particular Works Planning, to reduce aborted works and other planning failures and Content Management, to improve customer communication and satisfaction levels, both of which have already been adopted by and are delivering significant benefits for leading utility and contractor organisations.
Matt Bright from Elgin and James Hatt from Morrison Utility Services (MUS) will also, as part of the Streetworks Theatre programme, be presenting the new Virtual Trial Hole Assistant (VTA), a collaboration project which aims to revolutionise the process of planning and executing underground excavation work. This solution can reduce the number of aborted jobs and costly delays which can result from concurrent excavation works due to digging on wrongly located mains, but also increases the opportunity for works undertakers to collaborate using the same excavation, further reducing occupation on the road network and potentially reducing permitting costs.
